I used to think I was pretty smart. Then I got saved. Man did that change things! I quickly realized how little I knew and how foolish I had been.
Atheists are fools and they know nothing about spiritual matters. The Bible says that (Psalm 14:1; 53:1) and I say that. The Bible says that because it’s the truth. I say that because I was an atheist.
What do you do when you realize you’re a fool? Become a wise guy. Not in the sense of being someone who “thinks” they’re wise, but actually becoming a wise person. How does that happen?
First, find the wisest person you can and learn from them. The wisest person I know is Jesus Christ, so I’ve read His Words over and over and over and over again. Read what He said and what people wrote about Him. It’s amazing stuff. Everything Jesus said and did was filled with eternal wisdom. Jesus is Wisdom in Person!
Second, find someone who learned their wisdom from the wisest person and learn from them. The second wisest person I know is King Solomon. The Bible says he was the wisest human being who ever lived (1 Kings 3:11-12), so he seems like a good person to get to know. More amazing stuff. Solomon was at the top of his wisdom game in the Proverbs.
If you want to be wise, read and re-read (thousands of times) the words of Jesus Christ in the Gospels. Read and re-read (thousands of times) the words of King Solomon found in Proverbs. Continually pour their thoughts and ideas into your brain and into your life. Do what they say. Live your life the way Jesus and Solomon say you should live your life. You will not go wrong if you do that. Be a wise guy.
